The other reviews are absolutely right. It did come in a very timely manner from the company--no complaints there. But within 2 months the black cord cover came off in two different places, and I have to constantly readjust the position of the cord and jiggle it to get it to charge the battery or even run the laptop. Now I have to try to find another replacement cord somewhere....

My ac adapter died after a few months. The casing the connects the wire is coming off. At first it worked wonderfully, but before it died, my laptop would not hold a steady charge, without jiggling the cord around. Pain in the neck1

I bought this on 1/1/2008 and by April, the covering over the wires by the base of the plug into the laptop was already broken.
Mine lasted 5 months! June 9, 2008

It worked about 5 months but not perfectly. The connection was loose and disconnected itself often. Then, it died completely.
I decided to spend more money and went to local Batteries Plus. It cost $89 but the adapter is very solid and it connects really well to my Laptop.
Good luck to other reviewers who are happy at first. I hope yours last longer than mine!

I ordered this product and used it as only for travelling, which means that I used it on a maximum of 10 business trips over the past 11 months. It died, and is now in the garbage. I don't think it would have lasted 4 months if I had been using it daily, as mentioned by another reviewer
