Great bag but description misleading. Description says it fits 17" laptops but my wife's 16.4" Sony Vaio wouldn't fit and I had to return the item.

5 out of 5 stars Nice bag for a 14.1" widescreen Lenovo (T400) laptop   December 22, 2008

I got this bag a couple of months ago. Perfect swiss gear work. Fits my 14.1" widescreen Lenovo (T400) laptop properly, though a small part of it juts out of the padded sleeve, but then from the search I did to find a bag, this happens with every bag. And, in time I realized that this is alright, nothing happens to the laptop. The bag is comfortable, with lots of room for a laptop, its charger, a full sized mouse, cell phone charger, a thick 2.5 kg textbook, a few notebooks, a small umbrella, gloves, caps, mufflers with still enough room to spare. Padding if good enough to protect the laptop. I actually slipped on snow and fell on my backpack with a splat, but nothing happened to the laptop or any other stuff. The bag is waterproof enough; I went in light to moderate rain (and then moderate snow, a few days later) with this backpack on my back, and even though the outer surface was wet (not dripping wet), absolutely no moisture seeped in through any part (even the insides of small outer pocket which I use to carry my laptop charger was snugly dry). One more thing, you can even put your laptop in a neoprene skinbag and then put in the padded sleeve, it fits.

Now, I feel that no laptop larger than mine can fit here with the possible exception of a 15-inch, regular (not widescreen) laptop. People say it fits, but I don't foresee it happening unless you cut something up.

Bottom line, I'd recommend it to those who have similar uses as I have mentioned.

I bought this backpack a coule of months ago and really like it. Awesome quality, good sturdy bag. Not sire whether it will fit 17 inch laptop but pretty good for 15" laptops or smaller.

Nice space, lots of pockets. Overall, would definitely recommend it to others.

Backpack seems to be pretty strongly built. It is also versatile, with a lot of pockets. However, not all 17 inch laptops fit, such as DELL widescreen..

3 out of 5 stars Lower endof the line..no thrills   November 16, 2008

While this is a decent laptop backpack for light use, it's not up to par with the larger Maxxum Backpack.

The traps are not "shock" elasticized, nor does it have the cushioning that the maxxum has. I returned the pack because while the photo looks black, I received one with grey panels..

I was hoping to find a smaller laptop backpack with the same features/construction as the Maxxum....I guess I will have to keep looking..

Netmechdb
