Works well, looks good January 5, 2009 Tilgare I ordered this bag about a month ago and I'm very pleased with it. The padding for the laptop seems adequate and secure. I am using the bag to store my 17" laptop no problem at all. I was worried to see only one review mention that, but it fits flawlessly with a tiny bit of room to spare (may fit your larger laptop.) The bag fills up rather quickly, carrying a laptop, a notebook and perhaps a large book before it's a bit full.
Best bag for your money! December 21, 2008 Benjamin Motter (Sunnyvale, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is most definitely the best bag I've ever used of it's kind. It's made of sturdy materials which are very well put together. I only have two complaints. 1) The metal clasp is hard to use- the leather strap doesn't quite fit into it as easily as I'd like it to, but I'd imagine I'll get used to it eventually. 2) The strap does not have swivel points to work out kinks after you put the strap over your shoulder. This is a very minor complaint- just make sure you have the kinks worked out before you put it on. :)
Great messenger bag December 3, 2008 Natalie J. Ma (Los Angeles, CA USA) This is a great messenger bag. It's quite spacious, but still fits smaller laptops comfortably. I only have two mild complaints: - If you're carrying a lot of stuff, the shoulder strap might start to hurt because it has no padding. - With the way this laptop bag is closed (threading the strap through the metal piece), a lot of wear is endured by the strap. While it hasn't started fraying or anything yet, I can imagine this may be a problem in the future. I've had it about 2-3 weeks now, and it doesn't show any problems yet, though, so maybe this is a testament to how well these bags are made.
Great.... with some minor flaws November 23, 2008 J. Potter I want to give it 4.5 stars, only for the simple reason that only one side has the metal fixture for the strap so I don't know how long this bag will hold up. The build quality seems good, but with the strap only stitched on I have a feeling it'll fall off me like other bags I've owned in the past. The picture doesn't quite look like the product. It is a bit lighter in the dark gray which is fine. The bag is extremely comfortable on my shoulders. Very roomy (fits my macbook pro and some textbooks just fine), but it doesn't look much bigger than any other messenger bag I've owned. I constantly get complements on it. The bottle opener is a bit gimmicky and I tried to open something with it once with no success. There are tons of pockets that fit all kinds of things. Honestly it
Excellent and big November 18, 2008 J. A. Cuoghi (Richmond VA) I purchased the charcoal version of this bag, its not quite black, a little lighter of a grey than is shown in the product photo. The color and canvas makes the bag look old and slightly worn however all of the hardware is certainly new, I like the look, but some may not. The clasp is very good, never come undone accidentally although its sometimes a pain to close if you're in a hurry. The bag holds a ton. On an overloaded day this bag will hold: 15.4 inch dell laptop and charger 10 inch viewsonic tablet pc and charger various pens/pencils extra shirt 2 Liter soda and a spiral notebook or two Even with that, there's still a little space left in the side pockets for some random stuff(soda cans fit well) and in the back section for another spiral or two. Overall the bag is very sturdy, well made, and carefully designed(I'm very picky about the inside layout of bags and this one suits me perfectly)
