Does not work with Vista and Microsoft wireless keyboard August 29, 2008 Kumar Moorthy (Suwanee, GA USA) The switch worked fine with my xp laptop but did not work at all with my Vista desktop with a Microsoft wireless keyboard. Heard different responses from Belkin support but finally appeared to be incompatible with Vista and the Wireless keyboard. The switch worked fine when I plugged in a wired keyboard. Was not willing to give up my Microsoft Natural Wireless keyboard for the sake of the switch. So, returned this one and bought a IOGEAR (GCS42UW6) switch which is compatible. Wish the product info mentioned incompatible hardware setups clearly. Could have saved me plenty of time and effort. Prospective buyers please make sure that your hardware setup is compatible with this device before making the purchase. I was told some Microsoft and Logitech wireless keyboards and mice are not compatible with this switch. Hope that helps.
Belkin Flip Switch August 15, 2008 Robert A. Reeves 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I installed the Belkin F1DF102P 2-Port Remote (PS2) switch on our two computers and it worked without any problems. East to install and preforms as advertised. We are very pleased.
Great Problem Solver July 14, 2008 D. Fretz As our office has grown, we've continued to stuff more computer equipment, including two servers with keyboards and monitors, into a closet. When one of the monitors quit, we decided to try this switch. It works great reducing the heat of running a second monitor in this enclosed space and eliminating some of the wiring clutter.
Nice product! May 4, 2008 Elysse Mora (Albuquerque, NM) This product is very nice for sharing one monitor and keyboard between two computers. I had a little trouble setting it up, but tech support was great and I had it up and running quickly.
Works 95% of the time June 12, 2007 T. Hendryx (Atlanta, GA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had problems with the scroll wheel acting strange, but it's easily fixed. This problem usually occurs when I've had my PCs on for days and doesn't always happen to both PCs at once, so I'm not sure if it's the switch or Windows XP. A reboot of one or both machines has always fixed the problem.
